Braves MiLB Daily Report: Saturday’s box scores

-Clint Manry

Saturday night couldn’t have gotten any better as Max Fried and the Braves whooped up on the Rays with a 9-0 win. Fried tossed seven scoreless frames, struck out seven, and — for the first time in his professional career — tallied three hits and three RBI with the bat.

And as an icing on the cake, newly-acquired outfielder Joc Pederson belted his first home run as a Brave — his first long ball versus a left-handed pitcher this season.

I was there at Truist Park for all the fun, and I’ll tell ya, this is the kind of baseball that wins division titles. It sure would be nice if the Braves could play like THIS a little more consistently. Atlanta will shoot for a series win today at 1:20 PM (ET), with Drew Smyly taking the bump.

Anyways, here’s a look at last night’s Braves minor league action. I’m still on the road, and today’s Braves game is an early one so all I have time for is scores and stats.
