Per MiLB.com’s William Boor, hours ago the Braves traded Double-A Mississippi Braves outfielder Tyler Neslony to the White Sox for what’s likely a “player-for-cash transaction”, according to SportsTalkATL’s Jake Gordon.

Neslony, 27-years-old, was a 9th round pick in 2016 by the Braves, out of Texas Tech. The 6-1, 190-pound outfielder has spent all five of his pro seasons in Atlanta’s minor league system, posting a career .258 AVG and .691 OPS in 351 total games, topping out at Double-A Mississippi, where he’s been since the latter-half of the 2017 season.

After putting together a strong 2019 campaign, in which he hit .292 with 18 XBH in 58 games with the M-Braves, Neslony has struggled this year as primarily a back-up player for Mississippi. In 19 games, he’s hit just .164 with a homer and two doubles, while striking out at a 33% clip.
